Grand Victoria Hotel (維多麗亞酒店) at Neihu, Taipei - Taiwan

Grand Victoria Hotel (維多麗亞酒店) (N25.08412 E121.55863) is located at corner of Jing Ye 4th Road of Neihu, Taipei. We check in to the hotel once we reached Taipei from Taichung.

"The building is a fusion of classic Victorian architecture of the 19th century with contemporary elements of the 21st century."

I was attracted by the English-styled clock tower on the left of the building, it continue to change colour during night time...
We will stay here for 2 nights before we leave Taiwan. Too bad I don't have time to explore the hotel facility and others area.

Once we settle at the front desk, we got to put all our luggage in the room and our driver was waiting to bring us to Shilin Night Market for our dinner.

One King Bed

It was good enough for us to share the King bed...

Some complimentary coffee and tea as usual...

But Suddenly we noticed the washroom was decorated with Glass! Which you can see through the washroom! OH! Man! We going to have problem! I will feel Very uneasy when another guy looking at me while showering?! Haha!

Nice bathtub, but I will not enjoy it if another guy is watching! Haha!

After 10-20 minutes searching, we finally found there was a switch beside the table...once 'Press', there were 2 vinyl curtain sliding down...OH! That solve the problem...!

After solved the 'bathroom' problem, I took some photos outside the hotel area...I like the clock tower very much...

Take note the colour of the clock tower...

We were satisfied with the friendly staffs here, hotel is Clean and smoking is Not allow in the hotel area. I noticed this was the Only hotel where every staffs be able to speak English. That was Great! The breakfast served on morning also good enough. It was a pleasant stay for us.

Puli Brewery (埔里酒廠) at Puli - Taiwan

After we left the Xin Tian Yuan Restaurant, there were still enough time for us to visit the Puli Brewery (N23.96854 E120.96031) before Taipei. And visit the Brewery basically just another photography session for us...

"Puli Brewery Factory is devoted to establishing the landmark feature of Puli as the Hometown of Shaoxing (Shaohsing) Wine. Aside from actively promoting the culture of Shaoxing (Shaohsing) Wine, there are also putting more efforts in preserving the history of the winery, it is the first Wine Culture Museum in Taiwan." And there were also a documentary about the 921 Earthquake.

Then we walked into Wine Cellar...

Finally found my Favorite...Taiwan Beer.

We hanged around for about 40 minutes and continue our journey to Taipei...

Xin Tian Yuan Restaurant (新田园) at Taichung, Taiwan

After we left Sun Moon Lake and drove passed Taichung, we simply stop by this restaurant for our lunch...cause we were starving...!
The Xin Tian Yuan Restaurant (新田园) (N23.90334 E120.92783) is just located at one of the intersection of YuChi street.

The restaurant was empty when we visited, I guess because the lunch time had over...our driver heard the drum's sound of our stomach and ordered for us Immediately!

The restaurant had very simple setup, no fancy decoration and without air-conditional.
Luckily, the foods served on our table very fast! Everyone just enjoy the foods silently...:)

Vegetables (I forgot the name of it)

Mushroom

Steam Fish

All foods were nice and tasty! We like the cooking method of Taiwan very much because they won't cook it too oily! Especially the Unexpected nice and simple fried rice! Yes...we had it Double! All of us satisfied with the foods! Thumbs Up!

If you visit this restaurant, you cannot miss the Fried Rice!

Once we finished our lunch, we said bye-bye to Taichung...and continue our journey...

Wenwu Temple (文武廟), Nantou County of Sun Moon Lake - Taiwan

Visited the Wenwu Temple (文武廟) (N23.86960 E120.92685) after the Lake Cruise. There were many stalls in front of the temple selling souvenirs and local foods...

Before we step into the temple, I was attracted by this staircase...it was Full of little lantern bell on the both sides...

The staircase was locked with grill door and it's not accessible for public...and there was a write up about it beside the door...

"Getting to Wenwu Temple in earlier days was not so convenient as it is now; there was no round-the-lake road, and visitors had to take a boat to the pier below the temple and then climb up a lot of steps. Because the slope was so steep, the steps were called the "Stairway to Heaven". Now the steps are not needed to get to the temple, and they have been renovated into a 150-meter path with 366 steps the symbolize the 366 days in a leap year. The name of a historical personage is carved on each step, and the steps also incorporate the 24 bells on the two sides of the steps; the bells chime in the wind adding much to the romantic atmosphere. If you want to hang your own bell, ask the temple official how to do it."

The Little Lantern Bell

"The Wenwu Temple was established in BC1812, which was meant to be a place for youth people advocating the loyalty and learning martial arts. The Wen Shrine worships the Wenchang Dijun while the Wu Temple worships the Guansheng Dijun. Two temples lines each other in a wall. In that, the two are together called Wenwu Temple." I was really attracted by the stone and wood carved within the temple! Amazing! You can see the nice wood carved at the roof before you step in...it's all over everywhere in the temple.

There are total 3 main halls in the temple...we visited one by one slowly...

And we continue to the second hall...it was full of the little lantern bells again!

The decoration was very nice! And we slowly proceed to the third hall...

Behind the third hall, there was still some construction work carried on, I believe the restoration of the temple has not complete yet. But the stone carved was Awesome! It's all about Confucius.

We climbed up to the highest point of the temple just to snapped some nice photos about the temple...

If you like to take nice photo of the temple, try to visit it on sunny day.

We hanged around the temple about 45 minutes and everyone were hungry...and we started the food hunt again! :)
