Container Gardenstay (集裝箱花園客棧) at Bangkok Village, Jalan Kota Tinggi, Johor Bahru

The container concept is not a new concept today, I had seen it almost 8 years ago at Langkawi island, and of course through out the world. But this is the 'first' container garden stay in Johor Bahru! Where the containers are surrounded in the lush of green and I considered as a good place for weekend city escape!

Container Garden Stay (N1.55522 E103.80122) is located in the Bangkok Village of Johor Bahru. The area was a nice nursery and now converted into restaurant, garden and the above mentioned containers...

Large vehicles parking area and even for express buses are available. The surrounding is well ventilated even on the hot and humid weather.

The check-in process was done in the minute by the friendly staffs, impressed. After we settled the rooms, I requested to walk-around the area for photography purpose...

There are lower and upper cabins for the rooms, and guests have a option for nice garden view or without view.

A relax and comfort tea area next to the rooms...they provide good imported Chinese tea for their guests, too bad I'm not a Chinese tea lover and can't comment much...

In the middle of the both side, there's a nice corridor for all the rooms. As for me, this was a colourful corridor for photography!

As you can see, some of the room's door are still the container original door which is solid and heavy...

They provide 3 types of rooms which are single bed, queen bed and king bed.

The King's bedroom with the garden view. The attached bathroom is slightly wider and we understand that it's all in the container, we won't ask for much more bigger room space. :)

The dining area was transformed to a nice, comfort and relax area during the night fall...we had our dinner in the restaurant that evening and I'll blog about soon. Anyway, delicious food!

Beside that, they also serve local food for breakfast and lunch around the containers.

We had a pleasant stayed for 2 days 1 night weekend getaway! Experienced the container stay, which was just enough space for ourselves in the clean and comfortable environment! I will recommend to my friends who want to experience the relax and mind free staying!

Our package was breakfast included and car wash is provide if you drive.

Kila Senggigi Beach Hotel at Senggigi beach, Lombok island - Indonesia

Kila Senggigi Beach Resort (S8.49782, E116.04846) is located at the northwest of Lombok island. The resort just situated next to the beautiful beach as the name of it.

The check-in process was smooth and everyone got their keys in less than 15 minutes.

There are many water features at the lobby and beautiful garden surrounding...with beautiful lush tropical gardens and a magnificent view.

The friendly staffs of the hotel were welcome us, the lobby area was nice with a open concept and well ventilated. Decorated with the Lombok culture design...

Kila Senggigi Beach Hotel is actually a resort type of hotel, located in Senggigi town, on a 12 acres land along the beach, beautiful.

Most of the rooms are chalet type, basically 8 rooms in one chalet...situated in spacious manicured gardens with plenty of shade trees. The grounds are absolutely immaculate.

We had a double beds room, and let me show you around the room...

The room albeit dated, size-wise was adequate with necessary furnishing, satisfied with it especially the cleanness. Every room has its own verandah with comfort sitting area, we were enjoying our beer and chatting session on the first night.
It's advise to choose the 2nd floor if you going for the sea view room, brilliant views from the room and Mt Agung over in Bali is visible.
Remember :-
Don't leave your room door open after six p.m., unless you don't mind a generous spray of insecticide in your room which the hotel graciously offers each evening.

Kila Senggigi beach hotel is an old hotel, first in Lombok, surrounded by greeneries and right at the seafront. Wi-Fi service is available throughout the whole resort with good bandwidth. The Italian restaurant is just sitting on the beach front and you can enjoy the spectacular sunset of Lombok accompany with the house's live band. The SPA also available but too bad we don't have enough time to enjoy it. The breakfast was good, so was the ala carte food served by the friendly and helpful staffs and good service.

If you are photography enthusiast, you can have a chance to take the milky way during the midnight at the dark beach area.

All-in-all, Kila Senggigi beach hotel is a nice and comfortable place to stay with, recommended.

Sumptuous 4 course dinner at SkyBar and buffet breakfast at Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour, Johor.

Having dinner at SkyBar Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour - Johor was one of the most enjoyable and unforgettable dinner for our family! We had our dinner on one of the Saturday evening sometime November 2013 during our 2 days 1 night city escape holiday. I appreciated that Ms Aidah and the Executive Chef of SkyBar for the dinner arrangement.

We specifically chose the table situated next to the baby pool and had a breathtaking view for the Puteri Harbour night view. While waiting for the dinner to serve, the Chef presented a nice bread with 3 different sauce on our table.

There were 2 types of bread and we like the 3 different sauce very much! Garlic, Rosemary and butter. Before we can finish the bread, the starter served...The Caesar Check-mate! Salad.

The appetizer was unique and creative! Nice presentation on the piece of tile and this was the most creative salad I ever have!

Next appetizer was the 'SHE Lobster Bisque'.

"Bisque is a smooth, creamy, highly seasoned soup of French origin, classically based on a strained broth of crustaceans. It can be made from lobster, crab, shrimp or crayfish." Souce from Wiki.

The rich flavored soup was yummy with the fresh female lobster meat. The highly seasoned savory appetizer made our conversation pause awhile, everyone just enjoyed very much. The empty plates tell it all...

The next dish was the main course of the night. The Herb-Crusted Roasted Rack of Lamb.

I was looking at the Rack of Lamb for at least 5-10 minutes just to admired the presentation by the Chef. Well done!

The portion was big and the lamb served on the medium doneness. Every bite of the juicy and tender lamb provided the satisfaction of the meal, it was sometime back I haven't have a chance to taste the rack of lamb with the mint sauce, excellent! Well, I took the longest time to enjoyed this delicious Roasted Rack of Lamb among all of us...

The dessert served after the main course, it was the 'Combination of Screw pine Creme Brulee and Tiramisu with home-made Vanilla ice cream'. Again! Another well presentation of the dessert from the Chef of SkyBar - Traders Hotel.

Thanks for the humble Chef who came to explained on the dishes, and very much appreciated on the surprised chocolate birthday cake from the management of Traders Hotel. Ms Aidah and the team, thanks you very much on the arrangements and warm hospitality.

That was a wonderful dinner for us especially company by the breathtaking view from the surrounding of SkyBar and Puteri Harbour, the dining experience was totally cannot describe by words! You have to try it yourself to feel the different!

Our buffet breakfast on the next day was prepared at the Harbour Cafe of Traders Hotel. It was full house during we stepped in, nice and polite cafe's staff arrange our table in about 10 minutes...

The Cafe provided more than 50 types of breakfast for their guests to choose from. It was a nice breakfast with full of varieties, appetizers, main course and dessert from local and international. Photos below...

It was a very enjoyable moment for our family having the buffet breakfast in the Harbour Cafe. The full varieties of foods really wake up my morning appetite and I like the sausages very much!

It can be very crowded during the weekend morning session at the Harbour Cafe, so please make a reservation from the hotel management if you wish to having the breakfast during the weekend to avoid any disappointment.

We will be back again on our next city escape!
